Duration of Appointment: Continuing Full Time Agency: Office of the the Secratary, Executive Office of the Mayor Number of Vacancies: One (1) Promotion Potential: No Known Promotion Potential Area of Consideration: Open to the Public Tour of Duty: 8:15 am - 4:45 pm Salary Range: $43,181 - $55,601 "Pay Plan, Series & Grade: CS-301-9 Duties Brief Description of Duties: Serves as a Staff Assistant with responsibility for assisting in the preparation of speeches briefing, reviews replies to correspondence and social reports; as required. Insures clarity accuracy and pertinence of material before submitting to the staff Director. Special interest items, significant accomplishments, problems, etc. must be brought to the attention of the staff Director and information must be timely and complete. Commitments base on the knowledge of the Staff Director?s schedule of commitments. Qualifications Time-in-Grade Restrictions: Time in grade restrictions must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement. Specialized Experience: To be creditable, one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression. Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, management, or other closely related filed, at least two (2) years of related work experience. Ranking Factor #1: Knowledge of, and skill in applying analytical, investigative and evaluation methods and techniques to conduct research, resolve problems, gather information analyze and evaluate information/data. Ranking Factor #2: Thorough knowledge of the mission, policy, goal, progress administrative and operational procedures of the office of the accuracy, timeliness of efforts and compliance to complete assignments. Ranking Factor #3: Knowledge to interpret and explain a variety of subjects, and to edit materials tailored to specific meida and audiences. Ranking Factor #4: Thorough knowledge of the publication requirements of the office, including the promulgation and publication requirements of the office, including promulgation and enforcement standards and procedures, pursuant to regulations issued under the authority of the administrator. Ranking Factor #5: Knowledge with respect to the implementation of the DC Documents Act and the DC Administrative Procedure Act to coordinate the administrative operation of the DC register. Priority Consideration Displaced Employee Priority Placement: Eligibles for the District of Columbia's Displaced Employee Program (DEP) and Agency Reemployment Priority Placement Program (ARPP) will be given priority consideration for this position if found qualified.
